Edward J Grogan, MS, FACHE, CHCIO, CPHIMS, CCE
Ed Grogan is the senior director of information services for Sibley Memorial Hospital with oversight of information technology, telecommunications, clinical engineering, patient transport services, pathology services and chaplaincy services.
Ed is a fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives, a certified health care CIO, a certified professional in health care information and management systems, and a certified clinical engineer. He currently serves on the technical committee of CRISP, our regional health information exchange, and represents Johns Hopkins Medicine on the board of directors of the Maryland chapter of the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS), where he served for two years as the health IT public policy advocacy committee chair. Ed currently serves as the eastern region vice chair for HIMSS' advocacy roundtable for health IT policy, serving 17 states and DC.
Ed is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Duke University where he earned his bachelor of science in engineering degree with majors in biomedical engineering and public policy studies (health policy). He earned his master of science degree in information systems technology from the George Washington University School of Business.
