Diane Colgan: Biographies

Diane Colgan, M.D.

Assistant Vice President of Medical Affairs

Dr. Colgan has had a long career at Suburban Hospital both clinically as an active Plastic Surgeon and in a variety of leadership roles including President of the Medical Staff, Chair of the Department of Surgery and Chair of the Department of Plastic Surgery. Dr. Colgan also served as a member of the hospital’s Board of Trustees for more than ten years and was appointed an Emeritus Trustee in 2019.

Dr. Colgan served in private practice, specializing in aesthetic cosmetic surgery in the Washington Metropolitan area beginning in 1980 following her career in the United States Navy Medical Corps on active duty for 12 years and as a Naval Reservist for 10 years.

Dr. Colgan has been a dedicated, respected and innovative leader here at Suburban Hospital. I am confident that her experience and expertise will position her well for success.
