Clearing the Air on Smoking & Vaping

Once considered a benign alternative to smoking tobacco, recent evidence indicates vaping poses a significant health risk to both users and non-users. A growing number of reports are emerging of illnesses and even deaths resulting from vaping. As of November 19, 2019, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reported a total of 2,172 lung injury cases and 42 deaths associated with vaping.
Suburban Hospital and Johns Hopkins Kimmel Cancer Center, in partnership with Stone Ridge School of the Sacred Heart, the American Lung Association and Montgomery County Cancer Crusade, gathered medical and public health experts for a discussion the dangers of smoking and vaping and share prevention and cessation resources.Play Video:
