Thyroid Eye Disease

Wilmer’s Thyroid Eye Disease Center provides multidisciplinary care for patients with thyroid eye disease, or Graves’ disease. With specialists in neuro-ophthalmology, cornea and cataracts, and ophthalmic plastic and reconstructive surgery, we work together to address the complex needs of our patients and develop a comprehensive treatment plan.

Our team of Prem Subramanian, M.D., Ph.D., Shameema Sikder, M.D., Nicholas Mahoney, M.D., Timothy McCulley, M.D., and Vivek Patel, M.D., has expertise in:

  • Optic nerve involvement
  • Strabismus surgery, to correct double vision
  • Orbital decompressions, to reduce bulging of the eyes
  • Eyelid appearance and function
  • Dry Eye
  • Cataracts
