The Wilmer General Eye Service is an independent Ophthalmology Resident clinic, which is separate from the private practices of the faculty.  Residents see patients with any type of ophthalmology complaint and are supervised by dedicated Wilmer faculty, as well as by a Chief Resident (also referred to as the Assistant Chief of Service) who is a fellowship-trained, junior faculty member and former Wilmer resident.  Residents follow their own patients for the duration of their three-year residency in a weekly Continuity Clinic.
