Dedication of the Alfred Sommer Professorship of Ophthalmology and installation of the inaugural recipient David S. Friedman, M.D., M.P.H., Ph.D.

The many achievements of Alfred Sommer, M.D., M.H.S. and David S. Friedman, M.D., M.P.H., Ph.D. were recognized at the dedication of the Alfred Sommer Professorship of Ophthalmology and the installation of the inaugural recipient. Friedman was named the Alfred Sommer Professor of Ophthalmology.
