Dr. Thorne Patient Honored for Fundraising Work

Sarah Hill, a young patient of Dr. Jennifer Thorne's, has been honored by the Maryland chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals as their Outstanding Youth Fundraiser of 2012. Hill, diagnosed with juvenile idiopathic uveitis (JIA) at the age of 4, founded the Kids Uveitis Research and Education (KURE) Foundation at the age of 10 and has raised over $150,000. Her efforts have supported several research projects at Wilmer on JIA.
