Dr. Fernando Arevalo Publishes Book on Retinal Diseases

Dr. Fernando Arevalo, chief of the vitreoretinal division at Wilmer afilliate King Khaled Eye Specialist Hospital in Saudi Arabia, has published a book, "Retinal and Choroidal Manifestations of Selected Systemic Diseases". The book's goal is twofold: to make ophthalmologists aware of recent advances in other fields of medicine and to make physicians in other specialties aware of the ophthalmic implications of other diseases.

The book includes contributions from an internationally renowned group of experts from the United States, Brazil, Colombia, Costa Rica, Mexico, Turkey, India, Israel and Venezuela. Topics include AIDS, tuberculosis, renal diseases, various autoimmune conditions, gastrointestinal diseases, hypertension, pregnancy and retinal and choroidal toxicity of systemic drugs.

Published by Springer Science and Business Media, the book is available on both Springer's website and Amazon.
