User Fees

The fee schedule for Fiscal 2010 (effective July 1, 2009 – June 30, 2010) is posted below. For all MICF member labs, billing will be carried out electronically after the beginning of the fiscal year for the entire year’s membership. The MICF must have a steady income stream to fulfill its annual operating budget; therefore, member labs will not be able to drop and resume membership for a given instrument on a month-by-month basis. Labs joining mid-year will be charged a pro-rated fee for the balance of the fiscal year. For fee for service work, a budget number will be requested shortly after the project is completed.

How to calculate your user fees to budget for grants:

Each primary investigator can estimate his or her lab’s annual charges by adding up the monthly access fee for each instrument used. For example, a lab using the confocal and inverted microscope will be billed $1740/year for unlimited access to these instruments.
