Time series for following cellular events

The incubation system for live cell work is available and can be installed for special projects. Using the time stack acquisition mode with fluorophores such as Mitotracker allows you to follow physiologic changes in living cells for up to 2 days.  Live cell experiments of duration greater than 1 day should be scheduled only after consultation with the MIFC staff.

Time Series

Human retinal endothelial cells in culture.  Endothelial cells were labeled with Mitotracker and maintained using the incubation system for live cell work.  Using the time series mode, images were captured with the 543nm laser at 1 frame per hour over a 17 hour period.
