Alan L. Wilder, O.D., is a clinical associate in optometry at the Wilmer Eye Institute. An experienced primary care optometrist for 30 years, Dr. Wilder has been providing clinical care at Wilmer since 1999. His clinical expertise with patients aged 5 though senior includes comprehensive eye exams; soft and gas permeable contacts from simple spherical or astigmatic lenses to multifocal disposable contacts; and assistance in the referral and management of glaucoma, diabetes and cataract patients.

Dr. Wilder is a member of the American, Maryland, and National Optometric Associations. A native Baltimorean, he received his optometric training at the Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tennessee, and has practiced in Maryland since 1980.

Dr. Wilder sees patients at the Wilmer Eye Institute's Odenton, White Marsh, Green Spring Station and Columbia locations.
