Robert S. Weinberg, M.D. is Chairman of the Department of Ophthalmology at the Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center and Associate Professor of Ophthalmology at the Wilmer Eye Institute, the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, Baltimore, Maryland. A specialist in corneal and external diseases of the eye, uveitis, and ocular manifestations of systemic disease, Dr. Weinberg has been performing refractive laser eye surgery since 1995.

Dr. Weinberg obtained his medical training at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and completed two years of training in Internal Medicine at the Johns Hopkins Hospital. He then completed his ophthalmology residency (and was selected Chief Resident) at the University of Illinois Eye and Ear Infirmary, completed a corneal, external disease, and uveitis fellowship at the Francis Proctor Foundation at the University of California in San Francisco, and served as Director of the Cornea Service and Professor of Ophthalmology at the Medical College of Virginia.
