Jonathan C. Song, M.D., is an assistant professor of ophthalmology at the Wilmer Eye Institute. He specializes in pediatric ophthalmology with a special interest in cornea and refractive problems, pediatric cataracts and pediatric glaucoma. Dr. Song also treats cornea and refractive problems in adults.
Dr. Song received his B.S. in biology from the California Institute of Technology and his M.D. from the University of California, San Francisco. He completed an internship at UCLA Medical Center and his ophthalmology residency at the University of Southern California’s Doheny Eye Institute. Dr. Song then completed fellowship training in pediatric ophthalmology at Children’s Hospital, Los Angeles and in cornea and refractive surgery at Doheny. He was director of the Cornea Institute at Children's Hospital, Los Angeles and director of the Doheny Laser Vision Center. Upon joining the Wilmer Eye Institute, Dr. Song chaired the pediatric ophthalmology division at Wilmer affiliate King Khaled Eye Specialist Hospital (KKESH) in Saudi Arabia for two years.
Dr. Song sees patients at the Wilmer Eye Institute's Johns Hopkins Hospital and Bethesda locations.
