Monica Blash Sheaffer, O.D. has been a Clinical Associate at the Wilmer Eye Institute, Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine since 1993. Dr. Sheaffer specializes in comprehensive eye examinations including refraction, diagnosis and management of ocular disease, and contact lens fitting. She has a special interest in multifocal contact lenses and therapeutic contact lens fitting for patients with keratoconus, aphakia, and penetrating keratoplasty. Dr. Sheaffer earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology from the Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University in 1989. She completed her Doctor of Optometry degree at the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Optometry in 1993.
