Richard H. Schoen, O.D.

Richard H. Schoen, M.D.Richard H. Schoen, O.D. is a Clinical Associate at the Wilmer Eye Institute, The Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, Baltimore, Maryland.

Dr. Schoen specializes in comprehensive eye examinations, diagnosis and management of ocular disease, and contact lens fitting.  Additional clinical interests include evaluation for refractive surgery candidates, detection and management of dry eye, cataract, glaucoma, ocular manifestations of diabetes and detection of age related macular degeneration.  Dr. Schoen is currently assisting in cataract research.

Dr. Schoen studied zoology at The George Washington University and earned his Doctor of Optometry degree at the University Of Houston College Of Optometry.  He has pursued post-graduate education in treatment of ocular disease, corneal reshaping therapy and evaluation of refractive surgery candidates.  He is currently enrolled in the M.B.A. program at the Johns Hopkins University School of Professional Studies in Business and Education.
