Sandra R. Rozar O.D. is a Doctor of Optometry providing comprehensive eye examinations for children, adults and seniors. She specializes in the diagnosis and management of ocular diseases, contact lens fitting and pre and post-surgical care. Dr. Rozar has extensive expertise in determining the candidacy for vision correction procedures such as LASIK, advanced surface treatment and refractive lens exchange. In addition, she also works in the treatment and management of glaucoma-related eye disease.
Dr. Rozar graduated with honors from the University of Maryland in 1988 with a Bachelor of Arts degree. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Optometric Science in 1989. In 1992, Dr. Rozar received her Doctor of Optometry degree from Pennsylvania College of Optometry (now Salus University), where she was named a member of the Beta Sigma Kappa National Honor Society.
Dr. Rozar’s training included internships in pediatrics where she was awarded the Lynch Pediatric Award of Clinical Excellence, Visual Rehabilitation and Ocular Disease Management at the Eye Institute in Philadelphia and the William Feinbloom Vision Rehabilitation Center. She joined Parris-Castoro Eye Care Center in 2000 and Wilmer Eye Institute, Johns Hopkins Medicine in 2012.
