Christina R. Prescott, M.D., Ph.D. specializes in medical and surgical management of serious corneal diseases including artificial corneas (keratoprosthesis) and modern forms of corneal transplants such as Descemet’s stripping endothelial keratoplasty and deep anterior lamellar keratoplasty. She also specializes in laser vision correction and cataracts.
Dr. Prescott received her B.A. in biophysics from Columbia University and earned her M.D. and Ph.D. (neuroscience) from the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center. She completed an internship at the Hospital of St. Raphael in New Haven, CT, and her ophthalmology residency at Yale University. Dr. Prescott then completed a fellowship in cornea, refractive surgery and external disease at the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary of Harvard University.
