Josephine Ibironke, O.D.
Josephine O. Owoeye, O.D., M.P.H is a clinical associate at the Wilmer Eye Institute at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, Baltimore, Maryland. She specializes in the treatment of refractive errors and amblyopia, and she assists in the management of strabismus cases in children and adults. She has an expertise in performing comprehensive eye examinations for children with special needs.
Dr. Owoeye has undergraduate degrees in biology, psychology and visual sciences. She earned her optometry degree at the Pennsylvania College of Optometry, where she also completed residency training in pediatric optometry. She recently earned a Master of Public Health at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health because of her interest in preventable blindness in children.
She is a certified optometrist licensed to practice in Maryland.
