Catherine B. Meyerle, M.D., is an assistant professor of ophthalmology at the Wilmer Eye Institute. She specializes in the medical management of vitreoretinal diseases, including macular degeneration, diabetic macular edema and central serous chorioretinopathy.

Dr. Meyerle received her medical degree from Georgetown University, where she also completed an internship in internal medicine and pediatrics. She completed her residency in ophthalmology at Yale University and then completed fellowship training in medical retina at Manhattan Eye, Ear & Throat Hospital and at the National Eye Institute (NEI), National Institutes of Health. Prior to joining the Wilmer faculty, Dr. Meyerle was an attending staff clinician in medical retina at NEI.

Dr. Meyerle sees patients at the Wilmer Eye Institute's Johns Hopkins Hospital, Green Spring Station and Frederick locations.
