Michael P. Grant M.D., Ph.D., FACS is Director of Cosmetic Surgical Services and Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology and Plastic Surgery at the Wilmer Eye Institute, the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, Baltimore, Maryland; and a member of the Johns Hopkins Cosmetic Center at Green Spring Station. Dr. Grant specializes in cosmetic and reconstructive eyelid, orbital and facial surgery and is both a board-certified ophthalmologist and plastic surgeon. As one of only a few board-certified surgeons in the nation to have completed formal training in both Ophthalmology and Plastic Surgery, Dr. Grant is uniquely qualified to handle the demands of contemporary aesthetic facial surgery. He has lectured nationally on eyelid and facial cosmetic surgery, functional and cosmetic indications for Botox, as well as challenging problems in orbital reconstruction.
Dr. Grant received his medical training from Case Western University School of Medicine as a trainee in the Medical Scientist Training Program receiving both the M.D. and Ph.D. degrees, and was elected into AOA, the national medical honor society upon graduation. He then completed his ophthalmology residency training at the Wilmer Ophthalmological Institute, followed by a residency in plastic surgery in the combined Johns Hopkins/University of Maryland training program.
