Anisa Gire, O.D., is an Instructor of Ophthalmology at the Wilmer Eye Institute. Dr. Gire earned her optometry degree from the University of Houston College of Optometry. Her training includes a cornea and contact lens fellowship, also at the University of Houston, and a Prosthetic Replacement of the Ocular Surface Ecosystem (PROSE) fellowship at the Boston Foundation for Sight.

Dr. Gire's clinical interests include specialty contact lens fits, including post-graft corneas; diseases resulting in irregular astigmatism, such as keratoconus; cosmetic contact lenses and scleral lenses.

Dr. Gire sees patients at the Wilmer Eye Institute's Johns Hopkins Hospital and Bethesda locations.
