Anisa Gire, O.D., is an Instructor of Ophthalmology at the Wilmer Eye Institute. Dr. Gire earned her optometry degree from the University of Houston College of Optometry. Her training includes a cornea and contact lens fellowship, also at the University of Houston, and a Prosthetic Replacement of the Ocular Surface Ecosystem (PROSE) fellowship at the Boston Foundation for Sight. At Wilmer, she is a member of the Ocular Surface Disease and Dry Eye team.

Dr. Gire's clinical interests include complex contact lens fits, including post-graft corneas; diseases resulting in irregular astigmatism, such as keratoconus; cosmetic contact lenses and scleral lenses.

Dr. Gire sees patients at Wilmer Eye Institute's Bethesda and Bayview Medical Center locations.
