Directions to Wilmer Eye Institute at Johns Hopkins Hospital

Directions from the McElderry Garage to the Wilmer Eye Institute:

Walking

Follow the Jack Hammer signs and walk through the Johns Hopkins Outpatient Center:

  • Walk out of the McElderry Garage until you see the revolving glass doors of the Outpatient Center with flowers displayed between the glass door panels
  • Enter through the door and go straight, past the coffee shop on your left, through the tunnel with photos and posters lining the walls
  • Take the escalator up
  • Take another escalator up
  • Make a right as you get off the escalator and keep going right, past the Portrait Room, past the Wilmer Optical Shoppe
  • The Wilmer Eye Institute will be on your right.

 Taking the shuttle

  • From the McElderry Garage, elevator to the 1st Floor
  • Pass the ticket desk on your left, exit from the glass doors; you will see a shuttle sign in the sidewalk area
  • Wait for the shuttle, which comes every 15 minutes to drop you in front of the Hospital Main Entrance;
  • Enter through the glass doors of the Hospital
  • Make a slight left and go down the main corridor, passing the area with benches and tables on your left and a small garden and cafeteria on your right
  • When you see the information desk area, make a left into another corridor
  • Go past the escalators, past the Portrait Room, past the Wilmer Optical Shoppe
  • The Wilmer Eye Institute will be on your right.
