One-Stop Shop for Hopkins Calendars

Looking for a continuing medical education course? Trying to find the date of a departmental grand rounds? Unsure about university holidays? You can now get the calendar information you're seeking on the School of Medicine's faculty resources tab, part of the university's online portal at http://my.jhmi.edu/tab/som-faculty.

A new Calendar Depot, which was recently added to the tab, consolidates links to calendars from throughout Hopkins Medicine and the university. This added feature makes it unnecessary for users to search throughout various Hopkins web sites for the particular calendar that they need. It can also help to identify possible scheduling conflicts for events being planned.

Another recent addition to the tab is an "Important Announcements" section, highlighting newsy items of interest to faculty and those who support them. (The tab is now accessible to all School of Medicine staff members.)

Developed by the Office of Policy Coordination with significant input from faculty and staff throughout the school, the faculty tab was introduced in the winter of 2008 as a way to improve awareness of online resources that are already available to them and to organize them in one place. Resources that pertain to teaching, research, clinical practice, regulatory issues and the promotions process, among other topics, are included.
