New Faculty Disclosure System COMING SOON

The Office of Policy Coordination plans to launch a new faculty disclosure system this summer. The online system, named "eOPC," will collect information that faculty are required to disclose under School of Medicine policies on conflict of commitment and interest. eOPC uses the ClickCommerce platform, featuring a web-based interface that will allow flexibility and seamless integration with various institutional databases. eOPC will allow faculty to submit disclosures electronically; view the status of their disclosures at any time; access their conflict of interest management plans; and update disclosures as relationships change. Users will receive automatic e-mail alerts at review milestones and will be able to obtain departmental review and approval electronically. A beta release, scheduled for February 2007, will allow a limited number of faculty to submit disclosures using the new system and will provide OPC valuable feedback. Additional enhancements and functionality will be added in subsequent phased releases. Until eOPC is launched, faculty should continue to disclose outside activities and interests using the Outside Interests Disclosure Form, located on our website at http://www.hopkinsmedicine.org/Research/OPC/forms.html.
