The AAMC Humanism in Medicine Award recognizes a medical school faculty physician who exemplifies the qualities of a caring and compassionate mentor in the teaching and advising of medical students.

Maxwell Finland Award for Scientific Achievement

Awarded by the National Foundation for Infectious Diseases; recognizes scientists who have made outstanding contributions to the understanding of infectious diseases or public health. The Rhoda and Bernard Sarnat International Award in Mental Health is awarded annually to individuals, groups, or organizations for outstanding achievement in improving mental health services, research, or public policy. The aim of the Sarnat Award is to recognize contributions to improve understanding or treatment for mental disorders (basic biomedical or clinical research); innovations in mental health services (counseling, clinical care, prevention, amelioration of symptoms, or promotion of mental health); or public policy change that fosters science or improves mental health services.The Rhoda and Bernard Sarnat International Award in Mental Health is awarded annually to individuals, groups, or organizations for outstanding achievement in improving mental health services, research, or public policy.
