Presented to one or more clinical and/or basic science investigators for outstanding and exemplary original scientific investigations that relate tobacco consumption and health.

Japan Prize

Category changes yearly. In 2009, the health category is, "Technological integration of medical science and engineering" and the prize will be awarded to a scientist who made outstanding achievements in the field of medical genomics and genetics, including establishment of fundamental principle for genetic/genomic analysis, construction of basic infrastructure like genetic maps and genomic sequences, and development of essential technologies.

Ludwig Von Sallman Prize
