About the speakers:

Robert Collins, Partner at Whiteford, Taylor & Preston (*), focuses on Business and Corporate Law, Mergers and Acquisitions, and Emerging Business and Venture Capital Financing.

Blanche Johnson, Director, Biomedical Industry Initiatives, joined Hopkins in October of 2003. Prior to her appointment, she helped create MHCPDC, an early-stage biotech fund for the State of Maryland, which she then managed for 9 years. Prior to joining MHCPDC, Dr. Johnson worked in research and development at Biotech Research Laboratories and Bethesda Research Laboratories; and worked in product/marketing management with BioWhittaker, Kirkegaard & Perry Laboratories, and Editech/Rhone-Poulenc.

Keith Moulsdale, Partner at Whiteford, Taylor & Preston (*), specializes in Business and Corporate Law, Technology and Intellectual Property Law, and Labor and Employment Law.

Steven Tiller, Partner at Whiteford, Taylor & Preston (*), is a litigator specializing in Business and Commercial disputes and Intellectual Property. He works in Business and Corporate Law and Technology and Intellectual Property.

Frank S. Jones, Jr, Partner at Whiteford, Taylor & Preston (*), spends most of his time dealing with Technology and Intellectual Property cases, Securities Law including venture capital transactions, and Corporate Law.

Nora Zietz, Associate Provost, New Business Development. Prior to joining Hopkins, she spent four years as Director of the Abell Venture Fund, the $30 million seed fund of the Abell Foundation, and twelve years as Partner of New Enterprise Associates, the country's largest early-stage venture firm. She came to Baltimore in 1987 from Dallas, Texas, where she was a securities analyst for Eppler, Guerin & Turner, a boutique investment banking firm specializing in the stocks of companies in the Southwest of the US.

Directions to Eastern High School

From East Baltimore: Take Monument to Charles, North on Charles, East on 33d Street. Proceed about ¾ mile: Eastern High School is on the right, across from the site of the old Memorial Stadium.

From Homewood: From Charles, East on 33d Street. Proceed about ¾ mile: Eastern High School is on the right, across from the site of the old Memorial Stadium.

When you reach Eastern, turn into the driveway (which is just left of the front of
the Building) and bear right to the upper parking lot. The Main Entrance faces 33rd Street.

All visitors must report to the Security Desk, sign in (give your name, license tag number and who you are visiting) and receive a visitor's badge. JHU personnel only need to show an ID card.
