FDA Workshop on Medical Devices On October 26, 2010, the FDA is hosting a workshop
on medical devices for mid-Atlantic universities at its White Oak Campus
in Silver Spring, MD. Faculty and researchers engaged in innovative
medical device research and administrators are encouraged to attend.
There is no fee to attend this workshop. The morning session of the workshop, including
the working lunch, will include informational presentations on the FDA,
collaborative research mechanisms and technology transfer at the FDA. The afternoon session of the workshop includes
break-out sessions with in-depth discussion of FDA processes for both
researchers and administrators and discussions of specific critical
research areas of interest where medical device innovation is encouraged. A session on technology transfer of medical devices
is being planned for the workshop and Johns Hopkins Technology Transfer
(JHTT) is participating in this session. Please contact Leigh
Penfield at lpenfield@jhmi.edu
for any questions.
NIH, AHRQ, and NIOSH have eliminated the Error
Correction Window that allows principal investigators an opportunity
after the deadline to correct missing or incorrect aspects of their
applications for due dates on or after January 25, 2011. Eliminating
the error correction window will ensure consistent and fair deadlines
for all applicants and better align these agencies' application submission
processes with the submission processes of other federal agencies. For
more information on this change, click here: http://grants.nih.gov/grants/guide/notice-files/NOT-OD-10-123.html |
