New Supplemental Information for Corporate Sponsored
Agreements As part of its ongoing efforts to improve timeliness in review and negotiation of corporate agreements, ORA is requesting additional information to expedite the process and to help set priorities. This information should be submitted whenever a draft agreement is being reviewed/negotiated. Download and complete the form, found at http://www.hopkinsmedicine.org/research/funding/supplementalcorporateinfo.doc, and send it along with any other requested documents to SOMOraCorp@jhmi.edu NIH has revised the PHS 398, 2590, 2271, 3734, and HHS 568 forms. The new forms are posted online at http://grants2.nih.gov/grants/forms.htm. The revised PHS 398 and 2590 forms will be accepted beginning December 1st, 2004. The old versions of these forms will still be accepted by NIH until May 2005. The JHU School of Medicine is currently working with NIH eRA Commons to enable investigators to submit Streamlined Non-Competing Applications electronically (eSNAP) while also meeting the institutional certification requirements. While the School of Medicine planned to complete the necessary conversion by January 1st, 2005, we now need to wait until the NIH allows a separate departmental signature authority in the Commons - anticipated by April of 2005. Until then, we are asking investigators not to submit progress reports electronically. Please follow the current procedures in your Department for SNAP submissions. Look for more details on the eSNAP process in future issues of Webnotes.
The eIS replaced the current paper version
of the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine Information Sheet on
November 2nd. Although ORA will accept the paper version of the JHU SOM
information sheet, you are encouraged to use the electronic form as soon
as possible. Information regarding eIS access is located at http://www.hopkinsmedicine.org/Research/Resources/eIS MAC users are advised that the eIS will not
function properly on MACs running Internet Explorer. We are currently
working on this problem. In the meantime, we suggest MAC users run Mozilla
Firefox, another popular web-browser, when accessing the eIS. Additional eIS training sessions have been
scheduled for December. Training dates, registration information, and
training materials are posted at:
