New Assistant Director in ORA

The Office of Research Administration (ORA) welcomes Scherer (Shery) Sanders, PhD, a new Assistant Director of the Office of Research Administration. Shery will remain in a part-time Associate Professor of Medicine (Pulmonary Division). She replaces Dennis Paffrath who left Hopkins to Direct Sponsored Projects at Utah State. National Research Council Report

The report, "Sharing Publication-Related Data and Materials" may be of interest to faculty. The report discusses the life-science community's commonly held ideas and values about the role of publication in the scientific process. The report also outlines the responsibilities of authors that "underpin the development of community standards - practices for sharing data, software, and materials adopted by different disciplines of the life sciences to facilitate the use of scientific information and ensure its quality."
