DoD Fiscal Year 2010 Autism Research Program (ARP)

The vision of the FY10 ARP is to improve the lives of individuals with autism spectrum disorders (ASD) now. The ARP challenges the scientific community to design high-impact, innovative research that advances the understanding of ASD and leads to improved outcomes for individuals with autism. The ARP focuses its funding on projects that have the potential to make a significant impact on the lives of individuals with ASD.

The Fiscal Year (FY) Department of Defense 2010 Appropriation included $8 million for the Autism Research Program. The ARP has released the following three of four program announcements planned for Fiscal Year 2010:

1. Clinical Trial Award
   
2. Idea Development Award
   
3. Resource Development Award
