Additional Information: The primary goal of the FMD is to enhance interdisciplinary and interdepartmental research at Johns Hopkins. Note for the January 15th, 2006 deadline: Special consideration will be given to ovarian cancer related research. Projects that focus on the early detection of ovarian cancer are strongly encouraged. Pfizer Public Health Medical & Academic Partnership Fellowships

The Pfizer Public Health Medical & Academic Partnership is offering a variety of 1-3 year fellowships for junior physician-scientists in 2006. These fellowships provide $65,000/year and are limited submission opportunities. Pfizer will only allow ONE (1) application to be submitted per department/division for each program. The Dean's office will not coordinate the internal selections. Department Chairs/Division Chiefs must choose an applicant from their department/division for each program.

A statement from the Department Chair or Division Chief indicating that the applicant has been selected must be submitted to the Office of Research Administration along with the eIS (electronic Information Sheet) and proposal by December 30th at 12:00 PM to allow adequate time for review prior to Pfizer's January 6th, 2006 deadline.

Funding for Prostate Cancer Research

Funding is available to support multidisciplinary research in prostate cancer through the Patrick C. Walsh Prostate Cancer Research Fund. Awards of $50,000 to $100,000 for up to 2 years are available to fund career development and developmental research programs (pilot projects). New Ideas Encouraged!
