W.W. Smith Charitable Trust - Cancer and AIDS Research Grants for 2005

The W. W. Smith Charitable Trust awards grants for basic medical research for young investigators with appointments in universities, hospitals and research centers located in the Delaware Valley. This year, Hopkins can submit only one nomination for each of the Cancer and AIDS Research Grant Programs and the application selection will be managed through the Provost's Office. Although there are no specific funding parameters identified by the Smith Foundation, proposals usually contain requests of approximately $100k each year for a period of three years. More information can be obtained on the W.W. Smith Charitable Trust website located at: http://www.wwsmithcharitabletrust.org/ .

Interested candidates should submit a complete packet of materials for internal review no later than 5 p.m. on Friday, May 20, via email, to graceb@jhu.edu. This ensures that the internal selection can be completed in a timely fashion and the final nominations can be submitted to the W.W. Smith Charitable Trust by the June 15, 2005 deadline. If you have any questions, please contact Ms. Bigelow at graceb@jhu.edu.
