Tilghman Traveling Fellowship

The Tilghman Traveling Fellowship provides up to $7,500 to young faculty for assistance during a sabbatical leave to travel outside the Baltimore area in pursuit of new theories, methods and techniques in their chosen discipline. The funds are to be used toward travel, living expenses, and tuition costs for up to a one year period. No salary or research costs may be paid by these funds. The NIH database that lists Requests for Applications ( RFAs ) and Program Announcements ( PAs ) now allows for users to query only active listings, based on the expiration dates stated in those announcements. NIH Director’s Pioneer Award Program Nominations due between March 1st and April 1st 2005

The NIH Pioneer Award Program is designed to support highly creative and pioneering individuals pursuing new research directions that are not already supported by other mechanisms. Approximately 5-10 new awards for up to $500,000 of direct costs per year for five years are available. To be eligible, investigators must be U.S. citizens, non-citizen nationals, or permanent residents who are currently engaged in research. If awarded, investigators must commit at least 51% of their research effort to activities supported by the program. Individuals must nominate themselves between March 1st and April 1st, 2005.
