Important NIH Funding Opportunities Once again the NIH is accepting applications for
its Pioneer Awards and New Innovator Awards as part of the NIH Roadmap
for Medical Research http://nihroadmap.nih.gov.
These award programs are designed to support innovative scientists who
think outside the box in response to major challenges in biomedical
or behavioral research. We also expect a Funding Opportunity Announcement
for the Transformative R01 (T-R01) program soon. This program supports
projects that tend to be inherently risky, but if successful, can profoundly
impact a broad area of biomedical research. Please see the detailed
