  Protocol Reviewers Needed

If you are interested in volunteering to serve as an ad hoc reviewer of your colleagues' recombinant DNA research, specifically Human Gene Transfer protocols, please contact John Balog via email at jbalog@jhmi.edu.

Inventory of Biohazards

Thanks to all who have responded to the Inventory of Biohazards (IBH). Remember that all new faculty and Principal Investigators must declare possession of research materials to be stored or used at Johns Hopkins. The IBH form will be updated as necessary to reflect changes in organisms and agents of interest to US Federal authorities.

The information obtained in the IBH will also be used to assist with another survey, the World Health Organization's Global Action Plan on Polio Eradication. The Biosafety Officer has been designated the Institutional Survey Coordinator for this initiative. If you are aware of polio virus stock, isolates, or vaccine strains anywhere on campus, please contact jbalog@jhmi.edu.
