Update on eSirius We are close to implementing eSirius, the online animal protocol management system. An orientation schedule will be available in the next two months.Principal Investigators who would like to test the system should send an email to acuc@jhmi.edu. We need your input to eliminate any bugs in the system. To ensure that all individuals that will be working on your animal protocols are included please send an email to acuc@jhmi.edu with the full name, telephone number, email address and role (e.g. research staff, administrative contact) of those individuals. Individuals cannot be added onto a protocol until they have been entered in the protocol management database. Individuals who collaborate with others outside Johns Hopkins University should send an email to acuc@jhmi.edu to make sure we have information on the institution and the corresponding PI information entered into our database otherwise they will not be able to include those investigators on their protocols. The email should contain the name of the institution, location, name of collaborating PI, telephone number, and email address. The Center for Alternatives to Animal Testing is sponsoring a seminar entitled The Science (and Culture) and Pain: Identifying and Preventing of Pain will by presented by Dr. Daniel Weary of the University of British Columbia as part of the Enhancing Humane Science Seminar series. The seminar will be held on May 12, 2005 at 4-5 PM in W1030, Bloomberg school of Public Health. A seminar entitled "How Is Your Rodent?
