Seminar Series

The next Rodent Surgery class will be held on June 10, 2004 at 9 a.m. in Ross 403. Class size is limited to 10 people and pre-registration is required to attend the session. To register call 7-3738 or 7-3744 or send an email to pmatos1@jhmi.edu. This month's animal care and use seminar will focus on "Mouse Disease Status." The seminar will be held on Thursday June 24, 2004 in Ross 403 at 12 noon.

The ACUC is now offering American Association for Laboratory Animal Science (AALAS) Certification training to all Technical Staff who work with laboratory animals. To register call 7-3743 or send an email to kdiven1@jhmi.edu.

Semiannual Inspections

The Animal care and Use Committee(ACUC) has completed the semiannual facilities inspections and has begun sending out letters detailing deficiencies. Please review the notices and respond by the dates indicated in the letter. All deficiencies must be corrected by the deficiency correction date. The ACUC Training and Compliance staff will make follow up visits that the deficiencies have been corrected.

The ACUC office will be closed on June 7, 2004 for staff training.
