ANIMAL RESEARCH - Back

Seminar Series

A "Rodent Handling" class will be held on January 13, 2004 in Ross 450 from 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM. Pre-registration is required for the Rodent Handling class. Class size is limited to 10 people. Please send an email to pmatos1@jhmi.edu to register. A “Mouse Phenotyping: Step by Step Guide” seminar will take place on Thursday, January 22, 2004 at 12:00 p.m. in Ross 403.

Enhancing Humane Science Course

The Center for Alternatives to Animal Testing at the Bloomberg School of Public Health with Dr. James Owiny, Training and Compliance Adminsitrator of the JHU Animal Care and Use Committee and Dr. Christian Newcomer, the Associate Provost for Animal Research and Resources have developed a new web-based course "Enhancing Humane Science: Improving Animal Research" available at http://oac.med.jhmi.edu/humane_site/. This course provides a broad overview of diverse topics in the practices and approaches to humane animal experimentation.
