ANIMAL RESEARCH - Back

New Guidelines

The Animal Care and Use Committee has approved two new guidelines: Euthanasia of Rodents Using Carbon Dioxide, and Procedures for Handling Overcrowded Cages. The existing guideline on Housing Rats and Mice in Laboratories has been revised. All of these guidelines can be viewed at http://www.jhu.edu/animalcare/committee3.html.


Animal Care and Use Seminars

A seminar entitled, “What are the Expectations in Animal Based Research?” will be held on Thursday, August 28, 2003 at 12:00 p.m. in Ross 403.

An all-day “Rodent Surgery" class will be held on Thursday, August 14, 2003 starting at 9:00 a.m. in Ross 403. An all-day “Rodent Handling” class will take place on Tuesday, September 23, 2003 at 9:00 a.m. in Ross 450. Please register by sending an email to pmatos1@jhmi.edu.
