Dr. Kim completed his medical training with M.D. from the Medical College of Virginia in Richmond, VA., after having attended the Harvard University and the University of California at Berkeley. Subsequently, Dr. Kim completed his residency training in Diagnostic Radiology at the University of Texas Medical School at Houston / MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, TX. He continued his subspecialty training in Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiology at the Johns Hopkins Medical Institutions. After fellowship training at the Johns Hopkins, Dr. Kim joined the faculty of the Department of Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiology at the Hopkins.
His interests include uterine fibroid embolization (UFE), chronic pelvic pain treatment (pelvic congestion syndrome), peripheral vascular disease and renal artery disease treatment, dialysis access interventions, thrombolysis treatment for deep venous thrombosis, and stent-grafts for abdominal aortic aneurysm.
Dr. Kim is a member of the Society of Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiology, American College of Radiology, Radiological Society of North America and American Roentgen Ray Society.
