The Johns Hopkins Interventional Radiology Center (IRC) physicians perform image-guided diagnostic and therapeutic procedures for cardiovascular conditions as well as a broad range of services for patients with cancer, pain, diabetes, liver, kidney, and other conditions.
Our board certified physicians specialize in minimally invasive image guided treatments. These procedures have less risk, less pain and less recovery time compared to open surgery.
All of our Faculty Interventionalists have completed a one or two-year fellowship program after their diagnostic radiology residency.
Our compassionate staff members maintain close relationships in collaboration with referring physicians. This includes consultation before procedures and exams and even extends to follow-up in a post-treatment care plan.
Other members of the team include Physician Assistants (PA) and Patient Care Coordinators (PCC) who help coordinate your care and answer questions.
The mission of the Johns Hopkins Interventional Radiology Center is to provide individualized patient treatments and improve the health of the public through pioneering advances in image-guided therapy as well as produce outstanding Interventional Radiologists with procedural and clinical competence to the highest level.
