The Johns Hopkins Hospital Ranked Among the Top Hospitals in the Nation in 2014
The Johns Hopkins Hospital ranked number three in the nation and number one in Maryland in the U.S. News & World Report Best Hospitals rankings for 2014-15. Of the 16 specialties ranked by U.S. News, The Johns Hopkins Hospital had 15 that were nationally ranked, with 10 of them in the top five.
Given the complex health care environment and the realization that U.S. News evaluated almost 5,000 hospitals, Johns Hopkins is incredibly proud of achieving this top-tier ranking among the leading hospitals in the United States. The Johns Hopkins Hospital is the only hospital in history to have earned the number one ranking for 22 years—an unprecedented 21 years in a row from 1991 to 2011, and again in 2013.
Other Johns Hopkins Medicine hospitals, including Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center, Sibley Memorial Hospital and Suburban Hospital, were also recognized as achieving high performance in their respective regions in a number of specialties.
In June 2014, the magazine also recognized the Johns Hopkins Children's Center as among the United States' top children's hospitals, ranking it in the top 10 of the Honor Roll of Best Children's Hospitals that excelled in 10 pediatric specialty rankings.
