Winter 2012 Q&As

AC_Spring_2012Q: If I enroll in the Johns Hopkins US Family Health Plan, when is my effective start date?

A: If you are a beneficiary not already enrolled in TRICARE Prime, then the 20th of the month rule applies. That means applications received on or before the 20th of the month are effective the first day of the next month.  Enrollment forms received after the 20th of any month will be effective the first of the following month.
If you are currently enrolled in TRICARE Prime, your effect enrollment date will be 24-48 hours from when enrollment receives your application form.

Q: How do I locate or choose a Primary Care location?

A: The fastest way to find a PCP (PCM on application form) is right here on our web site. In the left hand column click on "Members & Visitors" and then "Locations". Click on the “Primary Care Locations” link under the appropriate state and then you can choose from the listing of locations, alphabetical by county, then by location name.
