Johns Hopkins Medicine United Way Campaign 2009

Dear Colleague,

It’s time again for Johns Hopkins Medicine’s annual United Way of Central Maryland’s fundraising campaign. We appreciate the generosity you’ve shown throughout the years and once again call on you to support this worthy cause.

As we continue to recover from the economic downturn, the needs of our community have never been greater. We invite you to make a difference with a contribution to the health and human services organization of your choosing, the United Way of Central Maryland or one of its “impact partners,” which focus on education, income and health.

You make your pledge at https://portal.johnshopkins.edu/unitedway  through the confidential, secure online system, or see your department coordinator if you prefer a paper form.

This year our goal is $1,487,000 and to increase employee participation from last year’s 20 percent to somewhere between 25 and 35 percent. Be sure to visit http://www.hopkinsmedicine.org/unitedway for updates on our employee giving, as well as activities and special events.  Also, please view our new campaign video.

Whatever you can give, gives hope, so please join us as we invest in our community.

Thank you,

Never in my life did I ever think that we would need charity. I so believe in the United Way. I’ve always believed in it. It’s a great way to be assured that what you’re giving reaches the people who need it.
