Spyridon S. Marinopoulos, MD, MBA - Director
Assistant Professor of Medicine
Dr. Marinopoulos is a Board Certified General Internist and Assistant Professor of Medicine who has served as the Director of University Health Services as of March 2006. He completed his undergraduate studies with a degree in Chemistry from The University of Chicago. He received his MD degree from the University Of Chicago Pritzker School Of Medicine and his MBA from the University Of Chicago Graduate School Of Business, with a concentration in Health Administration and Policy. He received his Internal Medicine training at New York Presbyterian Hospital Weill Cornell Medical Center. After 2 years in private practice, Dr. Marinopoulos joined the full time faculty in the Division of General Internal Medicine at Johns Hopkins in 2001. He has published in the area of evidence based medicine and has interests in the areas of university health and health care administration.
Carol Han, MHS - Senior Administrative Manager
Carol Han is the Senior Administrative Manager of UHS. Carol earned her Master of Health Science (MHS) degree in Health Policy and Management from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, and her Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Wellesley College. Prior to her current position at UHS, Carol served as Administrator of the Johns Hopkins University’s Older Americans Independence Center, Scientific Administrator, Senior Research Associate and Faculty member in the Center on Aging and Health, and Administrator of the Training Program in Epidemiology and Biostatistics of Aging. Her work experience includes managed care, the Public Health Service and research in health policy.
Glory Christy, RN - Clinic Manager
Glory Christy, RN graduated from Mercy Hospital School of Nursing in 1972. Glory specialized in Intensive Care Nursing and was one of the original nurses to open an Intensive Care Unit in Havre de Grace, MD. She was a CPR instructor for many years and took pride in teaching many community and hospital personnel CPR. Glory left her 10 year ICU expertise background to work for Johns Hopkins University in 1982. For the past 20 years, she has dedicated her professional career to taking care of the students, residents, fellows, trainees and their families and has broad knowledge regarding all the issues affecting our patient population.
Regina Anthony
Regina was a Patient Service Coordinator for UHS since 2002. As of March of 2008 she received a well deserved promotion. She is now the Medical Office Coordinator and primary contact for Dr. Codori and Dr. Miller. Valerie is a Patient Service Coordinator. You will see her working at check-in or check-out.
Charlene Phipps
Charlene joined our staff in November 2006. Prior to joining UHS, Charlene worked for the Johns Hopkins University's Department of Ophthalmology for six years and brings a wealth of experience to her new position. She is the administrative coordinator to Dr. Marinopoulos and Carol Han. Charlene is the contact person for matters related to UHS administrative meetings including the monthly Student Health Committee meetings. Mary White
Mary has served as an Administrative Secretary to UHS for 17 years. She is always willing to answer your questions and provide guidance.
