I manage in-patient and outpatient care of liver transplant patients.

Why do you work with transplant patients?

Since I was a nursing student and heard a lecture on kidney transplantation, I thought this was the most incredible thing and something that I wanted to be a part of. The joy of seeing someone walk out of the hospital after being given a “second chance” at life is amazing.

What is your education?

I have a Doctor of Nursing Practice from the University of Maryland (2009), a Master of Science degree from Johns Hopkins University (1993), and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Georgetown University (1988).
