Patient and Family Conversation Evenings: An Opportunity to Talk it Over

What if you could pull up a chair and talk to others in your situation—those waiting for a transplant, struggling with the symptoms, and the worry?  What if you could also talk to someone who had been through it and could offer tips on coping with the stress you are facing?

The new Patient Conversation Evening: Caring and Sharing sessions are an opportunity for pre- and post-transplant patients and families to do just that. At the inaugural evening in October, two kidney recipients, one who happens to be on the faculty at Hopkins, compared notes on their experiences and how they managed life before and after transplant.  But the evening events are not just for kidney recipients; all organ groups are welcome.

Topics are open-ended—they offer a chance to discuss what you want to discuss.  You set the agenda and just might be surprised at what you find out!

Oh, and did we mention there are refreshments?

See theCTC Patient Calendar for upcoming patient and family conversation evenings.
