Sherrie Ann Klunk, RN, BSN Kidney Donor transplant coordinator

Sherrie Graduated from Harford Community College with an AA degree in ?? and went on to Salisbury State University to obtain her BSN degree in ??.  Following graduation, Sherrie worked at the Peninsula Regional Medical Center in ICU for 1 year.  She started at Johns Hopkins Hospital in July, 1988 and for the next 15 years worked in the Cardiac Surgical ICU.  Sherrie worked with and took care of recovered Heart and lung transplant patients who underwent coronary artery bypass surgery, valve replacement surgery and other cardiac related surgeries.  Sherrie is the Head of education committee and peer review committee in the CSICU and Managed nursing specialty techs in the CSICU.

Sherrie says, "I became involved with transplant patients- particularly kidney donors because I want to improve the process in this advancing and exciting area."
