Terri Cook, RN, BSN
Transplant Nurse Coordinator
Terri graduated at the University of Maryland at Baltimore in 1985 with a Bachelors of Science in Nursing and has been at Johns Hopkins for most of the years since then. She joined the Lung Transplant Team in April 2001 as a coordinator working with the patients in the evaluation process and post transplant patients.
Prior to her work in the transplant field, she worked in the Oncology Center at Hopkins-initially with leukemia patients, then later with all types of cancer patients in the Outpatient Clinic. She worked at Hopkins in the Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) and gained an intensive care unit perspective from this experience.
Her first introduction to transplant patients was on the donor side with the Transplant Resource Center of Maryland where she was a Clinical Coordinator working with donor families. This also included educating nurses and physicians and the Maryland community about organ and tissue donation.
